More than 40 concerts in over 30 venues in Bremen, Bremerhaven and throughout the north-west offer top-class performances of exceptional quality, making popular works and rarities from different eras and cultures an experience.

The first and only lake stage in northern Germany is located directly on the water. The program is diverse - almost all genres are represented. Thanks to the additional side stages, even a large orchestra can be accommodated on the lake stage.

On the first weekend in August, the air in Bremen-Vegesack tastes of wind, ocean and life at sea! Musicians from the international maritime music scene will make sure of that at the "Festival Maritim". More than 30 bands from England, Ireland, Scotland, France and the Netherlands, among others, are coming to Bremen to celebrate the occasion! They will present their songs about the sea.

In 2026 you will once again have the opportunity to experience a colorful program in the middle of the Domshof. Music, dance and culinary events await you. Be curious what the program has in store for you!

The highlight of the summer finale is the Bremen Wine Festival, which revives the centuries-old wine trade tradition in the Hanseatic city. Initiated by the CityInitiave Bremen, winegrowers, Bremen wine merchants, restaurateurs and distributors transform Bremen's city center into a stronghold of wine enjoyment for the second time: connoisseurs can enjoy fine wines and immerse themselves in the exciting world of wine culture. In addition, a musical and literary supporting program ensures entertaining enjoyment in an atmospheric setting.

Every year in September, the Hanseatic city celebrates its connection to the water - with water sports presentations, themed city tours, lectures and many other water-related attractions, the Maritime Week anchors on the banks of the Weser.

The whole of Germany will be celebrating its unity in the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen in 2026 and you are cordially invited to join in the celebrations! Bremen is hosting the central celebrations for the Day of German Unity this year. Under the motto MANY STRENGTHS - ONE COUNTRY, Bremen's city center will be transformed into a large stage for culture, exchange and encounters from October 2 to 4, 2026.

Every year in October, when colorful lights illuminate the Bürgerweide, the fifth season begins in Bremen: For 17 days, it's "Ischa Freimaak" on the Bürgerweide and in the city center! The largest folk festival in the north offers spectacular carousels, tempting delicacies, an exuberant atmosphere and lots of fun for young and old.

The atmospheric Bremen Christmas market with over 170 festively decorated stalls around the town hall and Roland invites you to take a long stroll. An illuminated circular route leads from the Christmas market to Bremen's lifeline, the Weser. The promenade along the river creates a wintry and maritime ambience during Advent with the medieval "Schlachte-Zauber".

Cycling fans gather in the ÖVB Arena at the beginning of the year. At the Bremen Sixdays, participants compete to win laps, while observers are swept away by the frenzy of speed or entertained by the diverse surroundings.

Off to the Easter meadow! Every year, a week before Good Friday, Bremen's big spring festival begins on the Bürgerweide. With a colorful selection of attractions and treats, the Bremen Spring Fair offers fun and entertainment for the whole family. Whether Ferris wheel, ghost train or various carousels - there is something for everyone!
