The northern Thuringian town of Sondershausen is particularly famous for its castle and the nearby adventure mine. The former is a magnificent Baroque building that impresses above all with its intricate stucco work. The mine, on the other hand, is around 670 metres deep, where an underground lake and the deepest concert hall in the world await you.
