Schloss Moritzburg

Around 300 years ago, Moritzburg Castle was a favoured residence of Augustus the Strong. He commissioned the best craftsmen and artists of the time to remodel the Renaissance building in the Baroque style. Seven richly decorated banqueting halls are evidence of this. The "Stone Hall" houses the monarch's hunting trophies. The castle park with its artistic sculptures is also well worth a visit.
