Marienburg Castle, built in the 19th century for Queen Marie of Hanover, attracts many visitors today with its fairytale architecture of pointed towers and high walls. Depending on the season, the interiors can be explored as part of a guided tour or independently, including the dining room, library and chapel. The 44 metre high tower with viewing platform also offers a panoramic view over the Leine valley.
