La Semois Abbaye d’Orval

The Semois river is a favourite destination for canoeists and anglers. A cycle path leads partly along a disused railway line through the river valley. The Abbaye d'Orval is an impressive example of medieval architecture. Famous for its brewery, which produces the renowned Orval beer, the abbey also offers fascinating insights into monastic life and the history of the Cistercians.
