Welcome to Gengenbach

Almost like a historical film set: Gengenbach's romantic old town enchants with its half-timbered houses, towers, gates, corners and alleys. Travel guides also call it the most beautiful town in Germany.

So it is not surprising that it is one of the most popular excursion destinations in the Black Forest. A walk through the listed old town takes you past baroque patrician houses and the imposing town hall, which in December turns into the world's largest Advent calendar house for great art with works from Chagall to Warhol. The four museums are also worth discovering. They are dedicated to a wide variety of themes - from rafting and military history to folly and art.

Lifestyle and cuisine belong together in Gengenbach as they do in Baden. With a glass of exquisite Gengenbach wine and typical Baden dishes or gourmet specialities you can have a good time and talk about it!
