The Esterwegen Memorial commemorates the victims of the 15 concentration camps that were set up in Emsland between 1933 and 1945. A permanent exhibition reveals more about the life and working conditions of the prisoners. The dimensions of the former camp can be seen outside. A circular route with information boards explains the individual buildings.
