Hoeksche Waard

The Hoeksche Waard is a nature reserve that is over 50 years old and impresses with its diversity of landscapes and ecosystems. It is characterised by its island location between four watercourses and its predominantly agricultural character. Hiking trails lead through picturesque polders and flowering meadows, while larger villages such as Oud-Beijerland provide an insight into the regional history of the Hoeksche Waard, which dates back to the Middle Ages.
