Welcome to Hölderlinstadt Lauffen
The Hölderlin and wine town with terraced steep slopes on the banks of the Neckar is an excellent wine-growing region with numerous wine experiences for wine lovers.
The birthplace of the poet Friedrich Hölderlin is picturesquely framed by vineyards and rolling hills in the middle of the Neckar Valley. The largest Schwarzriesling community in Germany is known for its excellent wines from the famous "Katzenbeißer" and "Riedersbückele" vineyards, as well as for its picturesque historic town center with the Regiswindiskirche church and Rathausburg castle as landmarks.
