Brown signs in Europe
Historic old towns
Steinerstraße 2, 59457 Werl
In the past, salt production was decisive for the development of Werl. Today, Werl is the third largest place of pilgrimage in Germany due to its clerical past. The historic town center with its small residential houses, patrician houses and large solid buildings, the two pilgrimage churches and the 14th century provost church of St. Walburga, paints a contrasting picture.
