The baroque Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, designed by Johann Schmuzer, takes pride of place in the centre of the landgrave town of Pfreimd. Johann Schmuzer built it in 1685.

The earliest record of the small Baroque town of Allersberg dates from 1254. The market square with its impressive buildings has to this day maintained its Baroque character.

The Illerbeuren Farm Museum is the oldest open-air museum in southern Germany. It comprises today some 35 buildings scattered over the spacious grounds.
