The Cloppenburg Open-Air Museum covers an area of 15 hectares and is home to more than 50 historic buildings, some of which date back to the 16th century. You can visit craftsmen's and farmers' houses as well as a village church and a school. Three different windmills are also part of the ensemble. In addition to the original half-timbered architecture, the open-air museum attracts visitors with exhibitions on the history of the region.
