Welcome to Half-timbered Town Eppingen

A true treasure trove of South German half-timbered architecture, offering unique guided city tours and a diverse array of museums. ### Eppingen – The 1,000-Year-Old Half-Timbered Town Eppingen is surrounded by one of the largest contiguous forest areas in Baden-Württemberg and the [Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park](https://www.heilbronnerland.de/area/naturpark-stromberg-heuchelberg). Located directly on the S4 light rail line, it offers quick access to the centers of Heilbronn and Karlsruhe as well as the Rhine-Neckar district. First mentioned in historical records in 985, yet as early as 5,000 years ago, during the Neolithic era, Linear Pottery culture settlers lived here.
