Welcome to Baroque Palace Mannheim
Want to feel like a prince? At Mannheim Baroque Palace, your dream can come true.
With its impressive size, the imposing Mannheim Palace is the largest Baroque palace in Germany and the second largest Baroque palace complex in Europe. Stroll across the vast courtyard, marvel at the former state rooms and the palace church, or enjoy the student life of the University of Mannheim, which is located in the palace.
The palace museum in the central building, with its historic interiors, is a total work of art of European standing and Mannheim's "parlour." The elaborately restored rooms, with over 800 exhibits, bear witness to the style and life of the time and transport you for a short time to life at the electoral court, between the knights' hall, the ceremonial staircase, and the throne room.
At the entrance to the courtyard of honor, on the right-hand side, is the charming palace chapel. Severely damaged during World War II, it was rebuilt and enchants visitors with its interior. It is also the final resting place of the Elector and his wife. The crypt can be visited on special tours.
On selected dates, the Mannheim Registry Office offers wedding ceremonies in the Trabantensaal (Trabant Hall) of the palace. Afterwards, you can celebrate in style in one of the magnificent rooms.
