Neuwied Zoo

Welcome to Neuwied Zoo

Zoo Neuwied - Love at First Sight

The Zoo Neuwied is an animal park on the outskirts of the city of Neuwied in the district of Heimbach-Weis, at the edge of the Rhine-Westerwald Nature Park.

Whether chimpanzees, lions, monitors, crocodiles, seals, penguins or flamingos, toucans, camels, tapirs, meerkats, or the largest kangaroo herd outside Australia - there is something new to discover every day at the Zoo Neuwied.

The zoo offers evening tours and daily feeding demonstrations. For more information, visit the zoo's homepage. http://www.zooneuwied.de/

Paved paths, ground-level building entrances, zoo restaurant, accessible toilets, wheelchair rental, trolley rental, changing room, special tours for people with disabilities. Due to the topology, part of the zoo is only accessible via relatively steep paths, which require assistance for wheelchair users. Dogs are not allowed in the animal park. Reduced admission prices for people with severe disabilities; blind people and those with intellectual disabilities have free entry, and accompanying persons pay a reduced fee.
