Wilstermarsch Tiefste Landstelle Deutschlands
At 3.54 metres below sea level, Wilstermarsch is the lowest point of land in Germany. Not far from the Elbe on the district road, this is marked by an eight metre high pole. Without the dykes, which measure 8.40 metres above sea level, the flood water here would be around five metres high.
