UNESCO Welterbe – Montanregion Erzgebirge/Krušnohoří

Adam-Ries-Strasse 16, 09456 Annaberg-Buchholz

The Erzgebirge/Krušnohoří mining region has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019. It consists of monuments as well as natural and cultural landscapes of the most important mining areas. Visitors gain an insight into around 800 years of mining tradition - such as in the medieval silver mines of Dippoldiswalde. For those interested in culture, we recommend the "silver city" of Freiberg, which boasts over 500 historical buildings.
