Uckermark

Uckermark
The landscape of the sparsely populated Uckermark region was characterised by the last ice age. Hundreds of lakes still bear witness to this today. Over half of the Uckermark is a nature reserve, including the Grumsin beech forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the river landscape of the Lower Oder Valley. The cultural centre is the town of Prenzlau with its towering brick buildings.
