Technik-Museum Tobiashammer Ohrdruf

In addition to one of the largest steam engines in Europe, the so-called "Tobiashammer" awaits visitors to the Technik-Museum Ohrdruf. Probably from the 15th centurythe blacksmith's forge was used to manufacture crockery, agricultural tools and weapons. In addition to the functioning drop hammers, the rolling mill, punching mill, grinding mills and annealing furnaces are also on display. The plant is still fully functional today with its water-powered hammers.
