Stadt Meerane
Once the seat of a medieval castle, the town of Meerane experienced an economic boom thanks to the textile industry in the 19th century. Two historical looms on display in the local history museum bear witness to this era. Also worth seeing are the post office, built around 1900 in the neo-baroque style, and St Martin's Church, which houses an altar by the artist Jacob Naumann.
