Soleheilbad Waren (Müritz)

Officially recognised as a spa since 2012, the town of Waren is located on the northern shore of the Müritz, Germany's largest inland lake. Here, springs in the earth's interior bubble up iodine-rich water, which has a beneficial effect on respiratory and skin diseases. The small town is also home to Germany's largest aquarium for native freshwater fish: the Müritzeum. The beautiful old town is also worth a visit.
