Schloßkirche Eisenberg

Built against the east wall of Christiansburg Castle in the 17th century, Eisenberg Castle Church is considered one of the most beautiful Baroque churches in Thuringia. Inside, renowned Italian master builders immortalised themselves to create a piece of "heaven on earth". Artistic stucco work, marble columns and a vaulted ceiling painting await visitors. This masterful Baroque illusion painting makes the interior of the church appear particularly large.
