Schloss Gottorf Landesmuseen Schleswig

The imposing Gottorf Castle in Schleswig is located at the end of the Schlei estuary. The magnificent white building at the entrance to the village was once the residence of the Dukes of Gottdorf. These made the city into a centre in the 16th century. And 17. It became the cultural centre of Northern Europe in the 19th century. Today, the castle, built on an island, serves as a state museum for art and cultural history.
