Schloss Colditz

Schloßgasse 1, 04680 Colditz

Schloss Colditz
With its gleaming white façade, Colditz Castle is one of the most beautiful Renaissance buildings in Saxony. During the Second World War, it served as a prison for Allied officers, whose cells can still be visited today. A museum also tells of inventive escapes via tunnels and self-built gliders. You can also stay overnight in the castle's own youth hostel.
