Castles and palaces

Schloss Clemenswerth Sögel

Schloss Clemenswerth, 49751 Sögel

Schloss Clemenswerth Sögel
Built under Elector Clemens August until 1747, Clemenswerth Palace served the monarch as a retreat in idyllic Sögel. The main building with its richly decorated banqueting hall can still be visited today. But the murals in the castle chapel and the Hildesheim pavilion with its hunting trophies are also visitor magnets. An extensive landscaped garden stretches all around.
