Reppichau Kunstprojekt Sachsenspiegel

The Sachsenspiegel art project in Reppichau is dedicating its exhibition to the first medieval law book in the German language and the history of law. The book, written by Eike von Repgow, who probably came from Reppichau, was used for almost 700 years in the administration of justice. On the basis of documentary references, it can be reconstructed that he wrote the Sachsenspiegel between around 1220 and 1235.
