Naturpark Zittauer Gebirge
A dense network of hiking trails runs through the Zittau Mountains Nature Park. Among them is the Upper Lusatian Mountain Trail, which leads past polished sandstone rocks and inactive volcanoes. Lake Olbersdorf is a remnant of the open-cast mine. Flooded in 1999, it now serves as a bathing lake. The idyllic town of Zittau with its historical flair is right next door.
