In the Feldberger Seenlandschaft Nature Park, the last ice age created an ensemble of mountain ranges and numerous lakes. These are characterised by excellent water quality, so that even otters have settled here. Visitors can also observe sea eagles and lesser spotted eagles. Another highlight for nature lovers are the so-called "Holy Halls": Germany's oldest beech forest, which was placed under protection in 1938.
