The MÜRITZEUM in Waren is also known as the House of 1,000 Lakes and presents the wealth of fish in German waters. 25 aquariums inside are home to native species such as trout and pike, as well as rare terrapins. A highlight is the vendace aquarium. Here you can observe hundreds of these shiny freshwater fish behind a glass pane almost 6 metres high.
