Müritz Nationalpark
The Müritz National Park, founded in 1990, stretches to the east of the lake of the same name. With an area of over 320 square kilometres, it is the largest national park in Germany. Its landscape is characterised by more than 100 bodies of water as well as moors and natural beech and pine forests. There are viewing platforms for amateur birdwatchers, while native deer can be observed in Boek Wildlife Park.
