Bad Salzdetfurth is a particularly rewarding destination for hikers. The network of trails around the spa town includes 11 well-signposted circular hiking trails. The 44 km Sölter Trail is designed for long-distance hikers and can of course also be completed in stages. Entry and exit points are mainly located at the stops of the Lammetalbahn and enable a quick return to the starting point of the tour.

Sights

As you can guess from the name, salt is firmly linked to the town's history. Until 1992, potash mining dominated life in Bad Salzdetfurth. In addition to the graduation house, the Bad Salzdetfurth Mining and Salt Museum is one of the sights.

The Bodenburg Castle, whose origins date back to the 10th century, forms the center of the Bodenburg district of Bad Salzdetfurth. The landscaped park below the moated castle is open to the public every day until dusk.
