Meetjesland

Meetjesland, a region full of cultural surprises, delights with its rich variety of historical treasures and picturesque landscapes. The Kreken cycle route runs along numerous streams for almost 53 kilometres. Visitors can travel from Maldegem to Eeklo on historic steam locomotives, marvel at Flemish masters in their hometowns or explore centuries-old castles. A hiking trail leads from Poeke Castle through the idyllic Poekebeek Valley.
