Magdeburg Kloster Unser Lieben Frauen

The oldest surviving building in Magdeburg is the Kloster Unser Lieben Frauen . The monastery which dates back to the 11th century, was transferred to the Premonstratensian Order a century later. It has housed the municipal art museum since 1975 and presents contemporary and fine art as well as an outdoor sculpture park. Events and concerts regularly take place against the backdrop of the Gothic building.
