Leipzig Mendelssohn-Haus

The Mendelssohn House in Leipzig is the only surviving private residence of the famous composer. Little has changed here since Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's death. Accordingly, his private rooms, furnished true to the original, can still be visited today. On the ground floor, everything revolves around Mendelssohn's music. Visitors can try their hand at conducting. Watercolour drawings also show a lesser-known side of this artist.
