Königslutter Domstadt am Elm

Königslutter owes its title of "cathedral town on the Elm" to its 12th century collegiate church. It is considered an important example of Romanesque architecture in northern Germany. The Emperor Lothar lime tree, which was planted in honour of the cathedral, is similarly old. A spring house from the 18th century is located at theAbbot Johann Fabricius spring . The Ostfalen open-air and adventure museum reveals more about the region's geological history.
