Historischer Stadtkern Doberlug
The historic town centre of Doberlug was particularly famous in the Middle Ages for its Cistercian monastery. This was built in the 12th century. It is considered the first of its kind between the Elbe and Oder rivers. Doberlug Castle, where Frederick II and Napoleon were guests, is just as famous. Today, this Renaissance building houses a museum dedicated to the city's history.
