Hanse- und Lilienthalstadt Anklam
The title "Hanseatic and Lilienthal town" already reveals a lot about Anklam's history. The city honours its most famous child and aviation pioneer with a monument and the Otto Lilienthal Museum, which presents the history of aviation. St Mary's Church with its magnificent murals still bears witness to the prosperity of the Hanseatic League.
