The Altenkamp estate in Papenburg-Aschendorf was built around 1730 in the Dutch-North German Baroque style. After extensive restoration work initiated by the city of Papenburg, visitors can now marvel at the artistic murals inside. The property also hosts changing art exhibitions. The estate's baroque garden is not only popular with walkers, but is also a regular venue for concerts.
