Goethehaus Weimar
The famous poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe lived and worked in Weimar for almost 50 years. The house named after him today is officially known as the "Goethe National Museum". Visitors can visit the cramped chambers of Goethe and his wife Christiane, which have been furnished with furniture from Goethe's estate, including his study and library.
