Glasstadt Lauscha

Known as a glass town in the 16th century, traditional workshops still exist in Lauscha today. Christmas tree decorations and tableware are made there, as is Thuringian forest glass with its characteristic green colouring. Visitors to the Museum of Glass Art, where glass is constantly being melted and processed on the lower floor, can marvel at beautiful historical and modern pieces.
