Friedrichstadt in the district of Nordfriesland is often referred to as "Little Amsterdam" by the locals. The town at the confluence of the Eider and Treene rivers, which was modelled on a Dutch town, celebrated its 400th anniversary in 2021. You can go on a discovery tour on a canal cruise along the numerous canals that run through the city.
