Dornburger Schlösser
The Dornburg castles, enthroned on a rocky plateau above the Saale valley, combine several architectural styles: While the Old Castle was built on the remains of a medieval castle, the Rococo Castle dates back to the 18th century. An extensive porcelain collection can be admired here. The Renaissance palace in turn became famous as the home of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
