Burg Neustadt-Glewe
Neustadt-Glewe Castle, built around 1300, is considered the oldest and best-preserved fortress in Mecklenburg. Today it houses a museum on the history of the town. The castle tower, dungeon and living quarters can be visited. Original wall paintings await visitors in the Hofstube. Events such as markets and knights' banquets keep the medieval heritage alive.
