Welcome to Besigheim

Besigheim is also called the „nicest wine town of Germany“ and this rightly. Located on a gentle hill, the medieval half-timbered town is enclosed by the Neckar and Enz and surrounded by vineyards in unique steep slopes. Close up experience on the wine pulpit, which offers a wonderful view over the whole city and the surrounding area.

As part of the German Half-Timbered House Road Besigheim is a recommended idyllic destination. Visitors find much to discover in the historic center: there is the today's half-timbered town hall, built in 1459, the famous Lindenwood high altar in the Protestant church or the two defiant defense towers from the Staufer period.

Where wine is, is also sociability. Especially recommended for this is the biennial wine festival, where musical, but above all culinary delights are offered in cellars, restaurants, bars and stalls.
