At the Oelsnitz/Erzgebirge Mining Museum, visitors can immerse themselves in the thousand-year history of coal mining. This can be experienced not only above but also below ground. The outdoor area with winding tower and steam locomotive is adjoined by a gallery in which old mining machinery is on display. Many of them are still fully functional today.
