The Bauhaus monument in Bernau has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2017. The Federal School of the General German Trade Union Federation, built in 1930, is considered the prototype of the Bauhaus style. The focus on functionality, the harmonious combination of architecture and landscape and the light-flooded interiors are particularly striking. The Bauhaus Memorial Bernau can be visited on selected dates.
