Bastei | Festung Königstein | Sächsische Schweiz

The Bastei is one of the most interesting rock formations in Saxon Switzerland. From a lofty height of 194 metres, thousands of visitors enjoy the view of the banks of the Elbe every year. The Königstein Fortress, meanwhile, is enthroned high on the so called “Tafelstein” or Table Mountain and its 800-year history has produced an impressive ensemble of buildings from different eras.
